DC/1 FAQs
Q: Is the neck pickup in the DC/1
model "supposed to be" positioned with the pole pieces towards the bridge or
towards the neck like most Les Paul guitars?
A: We offer this guitar in both configurations, and we also custom build
in many other configurations. It is "supposed to be" a certain way if you are
attempting to emulate Gibson or PRS, etc. (this is not our intention!).
Regarding custom wiring, it is possible to tap any coil in any position. We let
our ears (or our customers) decide what's best.

Piezo FAQs
Q: Please explain your Piezo system and options?
A: We use RMC Piezo elements on our Wilkinson style vibrato bridge,
fixed bridge and Tun-O-Matic style bridges. The Piezo is a pressure transducer
and the "pickup" mounted in the bridge that allows the electric guitar to have
a sound similar to an acoustic guitar (that has been processed through a PA
system) without the trouble of some feedback problems.
When there is a Piezo system installed in any of our guitars, it requires a
standard stereo "Y" cable which splits the magnetic and Piezo signals from the
guitar, sending the magnetic signal down one cable to "your regular guitar amp"
and allows the Piezo signal to be sent to an "acoustic amp", a PA system or a
mixer.
We have found that sending the Piezo signal to a separate amp such as an
acoustic amp or PA, it gives the best authentic acoustic sound.
Q: Can I use the Piezo system with only standard mono
guitar cables?
A: Yes, if is prefered, it is possible to custom order or upgrade the
guitar so both the magnetic and Piezo signals can be sent through a standard
mono cable. This work is done at our factory. Price $125.00.
Q: Can I get a Piezo system with a Floyd Rose
tremelo?
A: As far as we know, no Piezo manufacturer offers a Piezo for a Floyd
Rose tremelo (yet). Stay tuned.
Q: Can I get a Brian Moore guitar without magnetic
pickups and only the Piezo/synth pickup? What is the price difference?
A: Yes. We offer this option on all of our models. (This option is used
on the guitar played by Clint Black!) Your dealer will deduct $100 off the list
price.

The Roland 13-pin MIDI-Ready System and
The MidiAxe 5-pin True MIDI System
Q: What is the difference between the 13-pin RMC
System and the new 5-pin MidiAxe System?
A: The 13 pin RMC is designed for use with Roland, Yamaha and Axon
guitar synths.
The MidiAxe 5-pin system allows you to use the sounds inside any keyboard or
synth module with 5 pin MIDI IN/OUT capabilities. It also allows direct access
to your PC and is compatible with all music software programs for notation and
printing of your music.
To have the Roland 13-pin system installed in your guitar, it costs $525, if
you already have the RMC Piezo system as well. If you do not have the Piezo
system, add $200 to install it, for a total of $725.
To have the MidiAxe 5-pin system installed in your guitar, it costs $625, if
you already have the RMC Piezo system as well. If you do not have the Piezo
system, add $200 to install it, for a total of $825.
Q: Are there any drawbacks in performance/tracking
with the 5-pin MidiAxe system?
A: The performance depends on what synth you are using. Most synth
modules are designed for use with keyboards. Each of the internal sound
parameters cen be edited and optimized for use with a Midi-guitar.
Q:
My guitar with 13 pin synth access (iGuitar2.13, C-90P.13, etc) has different
control configuration than what is pictured in the brochure. Please Explain?
A: See Selector Version Chart for
explanation.
